A business meeting experience
I once went to a business meeting at a beautiful conference venue. I was excited for the meeting because I had heard this was one of the best conference venues, and it was an opportunity to meet some contacts in the industry. However, it was a disaster from beginning to end.
Not only had I forgotten my umbrella, I had to walk across the parking lot in the rain. By time I arrived at the door, I was soaked. I hurried in and grabbed the leftover breakfast, which was your typical continental foods, and took a seat close to the door. Since I was in a rush, I didn’t look at the program that was given to me.
Suddenly, the speaker started talking and I realized I wasn’t even at the right venue! Instead of learning about accounting principles, I spent the morning learning about new technologies in cat litter.
