Ocean Fishing

The ocean is full of all sorts of life in it, some are considered as cute, others pretty, some dangerous and others simply strange looking. Many people make their living from these sea creatures, whether it is catching them for food or as a prop in a movie. Spending the day on the ocean can be an interesting experience, especially when its to catch fish. There are many different species of underwater creatures that you can run into and most of them are unfriendly.

Depending on what part of the ocean you decide to try your luck, you may run into American Perch, sometimes called Coon Perch or Striped Perch. The perch will grab at most types of live bait, similar to the crafty mature phone sex ladies. Be careful of the Great Barracuda as this sea creature can be very aggressive. They are usually found near reefs and piers or anywhere smaller fish hang out. If you catch one of these, remember that Ciguatera poisoning has been associated with eating them.

Fishing in the eastern Pacific could bring you face to face with a Pacific Bonito, also know as the California Bonito or the Striped Bonito. Popular methods for catching this excellent tasting dinner is surface trolling, casting or jigging. Fishing for food will probably not match the catch of an Atlantic Salmon. Also known as the Landlocked Salmon or the Sebago Salmon, this species of fish is in high demand. There are many more species in the ocean than are mentioned here, the more you cast your line the better chance you have of meeting them.
