The Death Of Sea Creatures Due To Oil Spills

Environmentalists throughout the world have been greatly bothered by oil spills, especially in recent years. This is because the spills wreak catastrophic devastation on the environment, with sea life being the ones who are the worst affected. There are numerous ways in which the sea animals are adversely affected.

Sea creatures really don’t have a choice but to consume the polluted water if they wish to survive. Of course, since there is oil in this water it can cause damage to their internal organs and even poison them to death. This happens as red blood cells are annihilated, their kidney and liver damaged and their immune system adversely affected.

A lot of sea creatures will die because they have ingested oil, this has been seen from tarot card readings. Even more will become prey because they have been so greatly weakened by the effects of the oil on their bodies. Whenever these creatures are trapped in oil their fur and their feathers will increase in weight. This will make it really difficult for them to be able to move around, thus resulting in their inability to defend themselves and save their lives whenever a predator traps them.

Now that you can see all of the negative effects that an oil spill can have on sea life, you will understand why it is so important to take great care to stop oil spills from happening and contaminating our water. Left unchecked, there is no way to avoid the extinction of all sea creatures in the future.
